Easter = Road trip to Lain's house

Last weekend, Lain (my roommate) had invited me and Hugo to go home with him between Friday and Saturday. We already knew in advance that his parents were gonna cook us some nice food... baked potatoes, salad and steaks on the grill - yummy!!! Furthermore, there is a nice mall close to his house (even though it's in the middle of nowhere) so maybe I could finally buy myself a spring jacket.

So, we left Bloomsburg in the afternoon and as you can see on the picture below, the weather was amazing!

Lain had told us that he could guarantee that we would see some Amish people that weekend because all the "neighbors" were Amish (A Danish Wiki can be found here). To make a long story short, the Amish has chosen to live without electricity, running water etc. They live as though the year was 1850 or so. Because of this they drive around in buggies with horses to pull them. We didn't see any on the way to his parents' house so we didn't quite believe him.

But when we left for the mall, we saw quite a lot of the buggies on the way:

We spent a few hours at the mall and guess what, I bought a new jacket! Other than that I bought two T-shirts and a pair of jeans.

It was time to eat when we got back from the mall. The dinner was great and Lain's parents are pretty cool. Later, some of Lain's friends from high school came over and we had a few beers. We played pool, darts and other games until 4 a.m.

At one point two guys were playing darts and one of them managed to pull of this shot:
He hit the freakin' tip of another dart. How is that possible?

Sunday morning we had to get up early because Lain had to go to work. I took a good 3 hour power nap once we came back up to Mount Olympus.

If you wanna see more pictures, you can find them in the Bloomsburg slide show in the menu to the right or you can click here. It's probably the last 20 pics or so on picasa.

Finally, a little update about the indoor soccer game last night (Monday). As usual I couldn't play because of my stupid management class but they did good and beat the crap out of the other team. The final score was 10-1. What's crazy is that even though we have a goal score of +22 after just three games, we are only second in the league :S

Oh well, that's it for now...
